I can remember when I was still in my teen age,we do go out looking for snails mainly during the full moon,one thing I observed is that most of us who went out for the night hours to look for snails always took their heels,when questioned,they always narrate how they came across creepy beings, though I never witnessed such a thing,but the way things were going on then made me believe them, because after the incidence, anyone who was a victim of this ghost of a thing would rather decides not to come along with us anymore for fear of ghost,when I asked my parents about this,it was my mom who told me that spirits do come out mainly during the full moon than any other time, according to the experience she had from her father who was a hunter.

In Nigeria,stories of ghosts are heard more especially during this full moon hours, which made me more cautious.


In ancient Greek mythology, it was believed that the full moon brought out the supernatural powers of the gods and goddesses, including those of the underworld. This is why many ghost stories and legends from Greek mythology involve the full moon.


In medieval Europe, the full moon was associated with witches and black magic, and it was believed that witches were most powerful during this phase. This fear of witches and their alleged ability to communicate with the dead may have contributed to the belief in a connection between full moons and ghosts.
